What are the difference between prime numbers and composite numbers.?

Can someone tell me the difference .. The definition looks to be the same. I need the an eloborated answer with example.What are the difference between prime numbers and composite numbers.?
Integers can be written as the product of other integers. For example, 8 is equal to 2x4, or 1x8.

A prime number is an integer with no other factors other than one and itself. For example, the only way to write 13 as the product of two positive integers is 1x13.

A composite number is an integer that DOES have factors other than 1 and itself. For example, 15 is 3x5, and 12=2x6 or 3x4, so 12 and 15 are examples of composite numbers.

A couple of things worth noting:

- 1 is not considered to be prime nor composite.

- 2 is the only even prime number, because all other even numbers can be written as 2 times some number that isn't 1.

- While all prime numbers other than 2 are odd, not all odd numbers are prime. For example, 9 = 3x3.What are the difference between prime numbers and composite numbers.?
A prime number is a natural number greater than 1,whose only positive diovisor are 1 or it self.

A composite number is a positive integar which is not prime{which is divisible by factors other than 1}
Prime numbers are only divisible by themselves and 1. eg. 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11 etc.
