How do you read the numbers in the Bible?

I'm going to rec my voice and read some of the bible onto tape for a chruch and i was wondering how do you say:





Deuteronomy 4:31

Job 22:28-29





Do you say i know you say job but like how do you say the numbers. I know you dont just say 22 28 29.

All Bible books are of the form Book chapter : verse.


The first number is the chapter and the second number after the colon is the verse in that chapter. You would say ';Job chapter # verse #.';How do you read the numbers in the Bible?
If you have multiple numbers, don't worry about saying chapter and verse, just say 2:12.





If you have more than one verse in a chapter say


';chapter 2, 12 thru 20.'; and keep going.





What I do sometimes is to raise my hand or change my voice if I have a List of verses that I'm reading. As long as your audience is aware that your quoting the bible and not just speaking off the top of your head. That's the most important thing.
for 4:31 i would imagine that you just say four, thirty-one





22:28-29 would be twenty-two, twenty-eight to twenty-nine





I think you should quit religion





1) it is boring.
