Seems like they should be the same.....How come the numbers on a telephone are in ascending order and calculators in descending order?
phones are descending and calculators are ascending. I don't know why though, it may just be easier for phones since you also have the alphabet on keys, it would be akward if we had to read from the bottom up
Phone: descends from one

Calculator: ascends from 0
7 8 9
4 5 6
1 2 3
