When you use phone long distance services or calling card numbers, can they change your location on the bill?

i had the weirdest thing happen, everytime i used this weird service that i signed up with, it told me on my phone bill that i was in a different city, AND i still got charged for the long distance

did i get scammed? When you use phone long distance services or calling card numbers, can they change your location on the bill?
Yea i'm pretty sure thats how some of these phone companys get away with your cash, it isnt that hard to do. You still pay for their card but unless you're in the same city where you signed up, you still pay for long distance

TRUST NO ONEWhen you use phone long distance services or calling card numbers, can they change your location on the bill?
Yes i work for a card company and i know that is how we work. Just stop using the number, you'll only get charged minimally this way. Use calling cards instead, not the sketchy things they tell you to sign up for over the phone
